Mini COPSpecifications:
|
The COP (short for Compact Off-duty Police) 357 was designed by Robert Hillberg 1981 and manufactured by COP Inc. from 1981 until at least 1983. It is a 4-barrel derringer chambered in .357 Magnum, and utilizes a clockwise-rotating firing pin mechanism to fire each round individually. A very space-age design, the COP has been featured in prominent science-fiction films and television shows, to include: Blade Runner, The Matrix Reloaded, Battlestar Galactica, and Stargate SG-1.
At least one example of the Mini COP was produced in .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire. Advertisements state that a .22 Long Rifle version was available for sale, but it is unknown whether or not any examples were produced. However, it is known that COP Inc. did make and sell a .22 Long Rifle conversion kit that was comprised of four separate barrel inserts.
